Deduction

The process of logically eliminating impossibilities to arrive at the unique correct placement.

Game Mechanics

Explanation

Murdoku is a pure deduction game. There is no guessing required — every case has exactly one valid solution reachable through logical steps. Deduction means using clue cards, row/column constraints, and already-placed suspects to shrink the possibility space.

Example

Deduction step: 'If Anna is south of Max, and Max can only be in rows 1-3, then Anna must be in rows 2-6. Combined with Anna's other constraints, only row 4 remains viable.'
