Beside
Directly adjacent up, down, left, or right within the same region.
Explanation
Beside means sharing an edge in the grid — directly above, below, left, or right. Diagonals do NOT count. The two people must also be in the same colored region for the clue to be valid.
Example
If a clue says 'Max is beside the plant,' Max must be in a cell that shares a side with the plant cell AND is in the same region as the plant.
Common Mistake
Players often count diagonal positions as beside. They are not. Also, two cells may touch physically but be in different regions — in that case, beside does not apply.
