Start with E. E must be in the Library, and the Library has only one cell that is not beside a shelf, so E is fixed there. After placing E, only two carpet cells remain, and both are in R5. That puts C in R5, so block the rest of R5. B is south of C, so B has to use R6. The only available cell in that row is R6C2, which also fixes C on the remaining carpet. Only one cell still lets A be beside a plant, so A is fixed there. D is forced onto the last chair, leaving the final open cell for V.
